cfmunesco 2017

Dear Delegates, Advisors, Admins and Members of the Press Staff,

Just few months ago we were all staying in Cividale and enjoying together CFMUNESCO 2017. After the end of the Closing Ceremony many things happend: first of all we had the great joy to know that our Conference will continue also in 2018! In this last offcial message as Secretary General of CFMUNESCO 2017 I would like to thank all the wonderlful students and teachers who took part in the organisation, wishing them to work as well for CFMUNESCO 2018, continuing to improve our Conference. A special thank for the patiance, the kind and active presence during our Conference to the Advisors and to all our dear Delegates.

During the Opening Ceremony, I asked you to be not only the people of the future, but also the people of today. Considering the great work you have done in just four days of Conference I am sure that you are still, and will always be the main characters of your present and of your life! I am already waiting for you with the new Secretary General and the Executive Staffs of CFMUNESCO 2017 and 2018!

Yours sincerely

Simone Clavora

Former Secretary General

During CFMUNESCO 2017, delegates will work in an assembly, the Historical Committee, that resembles UN conferences and will discuss about crises that involved many countries and endangered the stability of our world in the past. The events discussed will be real crises that happened during World War I, in the period of time between April 1917 and 1919, and that involved all the world. These crises occurred in different years and, during the debate, they will be discussed following their chronological order. Each delegate will not represent a country in general, as it happens in other MUN committees, but a character, a sovereign or a prime minister, that guided a state during the period of time which the assembly will work on. Delegates will have to imitate the behaviour of that person and to operate always keeping in mind the real decisions (or plausible ones, if finding the real decisions is impossible) taken by their countries in a precise occasion.

cfmunesco news

This committee has been structured according to the actual procedures of the International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. Within CFMUNESCO RCRC, each Country is represented by two delegates from the same school, one representing the Government of the Country itself whereas the other representing the Red Cross or Red Crescent National Society of the same Country.

Please pay attention to the Country you have been assigned since the two delegates may have two different points of view on the topics on debate, therefore they can act independently from each other.

This means that:

- during preparation, both delegates have to focus on the positions they are going to represent during the debate (as a State or as a National Society) and they both can work on specific draft clauses or resolutions;

- during lobbying, both delegates can present or sign a draft resolution: the Chairs will remind them to sign the drafts with "Country name" (e.g. "FRANCE"), if representing the State, or with "Country name + NS" (e.g. "FRANCE NS"), if representing the National Society;

- during committee sessions, both delegates can actively take part in the debates by delivering speeches, presenting points and motions etc.

- during voting procedures, both delegates can cast their vote: the Chairs will take note of all the votes.

Since the RCRC is a resolution based committee, we invite all delegates to come to the conference with some draft clauses or with a complete draft resolution, and we recommend them to be willing to cooperate with other delegates.

The RCRC is going to be CFMUNESCO biggest committee, being composed by about 80 delegates. Thanks to the size of the committee and the double representation, the RCRC will be a great opportunity both for experienced delegates and for less experienced ones
